Ann Jeffrey Johnson, 88 of Paris went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at St. Paul Baptist Church with Dr. Shay Bills, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.
Ann was born in Paris, Texas to the parentage of the late Kathryn Jeffrey and Frank Jeffrey. She attended Gibbons High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church for more than 75 years.
Ann worked for many years at J.C. Pennys in downtown Paris. She retired from Lamar Electric Cooperative after 20 years of service.
She met and married the love of her life the late A.J. Johnson in 1949. They celebrated over 65 years of marriage and were blessed with five children. She leaves her 5 children to cherish her memories and celebrate her life: Jimmy (Oretta) Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Loretta Robison, Steve (Janice) Johnson, and Beverly (Louis) Yates, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Ann also leaves her sisters: Betty (Thomas) Burton, Charlene (Jesse) Wallace, and Frankie (Robert) White, one aunt; Martha Frazier, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband A. J. Johnson; her sisters, Helen (Clabon) Steward, Alice Ruth Jeffrey and Mearion Jeffrey; her brothers, Bobby G. Jeffrey and Frank Jeffrey, Jr.
