Life Reflections

of
Annie Lee Shepherd

Annie Lee Shepherd was born June 23, 1927, to Walter and Aliver Smith in Tyronza, Arkansas.
On Monday November 28, 2022, Annie gained her heavenly wings, although she was 95, she
would affectionally tell you that she’s 59 years young.

Her smile and laughter warned your heart, a caring soul who would provide you with a meal
and made sure you received the word of God along with a song. Her favorite song was amazing
grace, she said that song reminded her of her father and like it song in the old fashion way.
Watching her facial expression told you everything you needed to see as she took you along her
journey when that song was sung or played.

Her willingness to give to other, “Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will
receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands – all that you can hold. The
measure you use for others is the one God will use for you” – Luke 6:38 GNB.
The deep love for her family was in every conversation as she would take you down memory
lane. From her childhood growing up in the Cotton fields to mostly recently herself pride in
voting in the midterms. She was a proud independent woman who was a hemophiliac and a
amphophile. Her love for the outdoors gives her life, from sunup to sunset you would find her in
one of three places. In the front yard pulling weeds out of her beloved flower bed, pushing a
lawn mower, in the backyard tending to her garden and chickens, or sitting in the garage
waving and talking with her neighbors. She spoke often about her friends / neighbors that she
loved dearly and created nicknames for each and every one of them. Know that she Loved you
all and appreciate you for checking on her.
