Bishop William King 'Bill' Obituary

Bishop William 'Bill' George King II, 46, of Mt. Vernon, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 22, 2022, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Friday, July 1, 2022, at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Floyd Trotter, pastor and Bishop Steven McKnight will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow to Restlawn Garden Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.

William George King was born February 4,1976 in Paris, Texas to William and Rev Julia Ray
King, who both preceded him in death. He attended and graduated Paris High School in the
class of 1994. In 1997, William was married, and one daughter was born, Y’Meona King. Then in 2001 had a son William King III. While living in Hugo, OK, he was in various organizations for the youth and owned his business, Royal Detailing.

On, July 3, 2010, he met and married his devoted, loving wife, Jermekie Fountain King. During this time, he gained one daughter, Jakayda Fountain and two sons, Kendall Finley & Joshua Fountain. William heard the call from the Master and was licensed as a minister of the gospel at Christ Family Missionary Baptist Church under the Leadership of Bishop Steven J. McKnight.

He and his wife served at St Matthew House of Worship under the leadership of Bishop JC Fountain Sr. In 2016 both William and Jermekie assisted in leadership at the Shiloh Temple of Faith in Lone Star, Texas under the leadership of Pastor CD Traylor. On May 29, 2021, William was ordained as the Bishop of the We Believe God’s Word organization.

While living in Mount Vernon, Texas he was involved in the Franklin County Youth softball, baseball and football association, Head coach of the NETX Dragons & Raptures, The Men of Purpose, and the WBGW Organization.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Jermekie Fountain King of Mount Vernon, two daughters Y’Meona King of Hugo, OK; Jakayda Fountain of Mount Vernon, TX; three sons, William King III of Hugo, OK; Kendall Finley of Oklahoma City, OK; Joshua Fountain of Mount Vernon, TX. A God Daughter, Milah Reeves and her parents Mikayla & Mike Reeves of Hughes Springs, TX. One sister, Altrice Mosely of Dallas, TX, two brothers, Henry King of Paris, TX; Julius King of Dallas, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
