Carrie (Spoon) Washington

Carrie Washington, 75, of Paris went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 3, 2022, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11:00 am Friday, June 10, 2022, at El Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy McCarty serving as eulogist. Maxey Funeral Home will make burial in Rocky Ford Cemetery.

Carrie Washington, born March 21, 1947, was a loving member of El Bethel Baptist Church where the Rev. Randy McCarty is the pastor. She was born to the late Edward Washington and Letha Spoon, graduated from Gibbons High School in 1967, and was employed for many years by Wally Kraft and the Roden Family.                                    

Daughters: Kam (Washington) Hodge, Latonya (Jeffrey) Lyons, and Tracy (Joseph) Finch.

Brother: John David Washington.

Also, six Grandchildren and twenty Great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Dorothy Griffis and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Dottie Mae, Eula, Betty Jean, Alice Marie, Barbara Jean, James Edward, Margie Washington and Perry Washington.
