Obituary
Charles Bennett, 76, of Hugo, OK passed away November 16, 2021. Funeral services are set for 2:30 pm Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Mt. Sinai Church of God In Christ. Interment will be held in Crosley Cemetery. The Rev. Darnell Wagoner, eulogist and Supt. Aster Cooper, pastor.
On Tuesday, March 20, 1945, the city of Bakersville, California was blessed with the birth of a son to the late Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Bennett. At an early age, Ray relocated to Hugo, Oklahoma with his father and only mother he knew, Mrs. Thelma Bennett. Charles Ray Bennett was a well know disc jockey for over 40 years. After becoming a resident of Wright City, Oklahoma, he became a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church until his health began to fail. He entered eternal rest on November 16, 2021.

Son: Willie Ray Bennett of Idablel, Oklahoma. Charlzetta Bennett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Murlee Bennett Dixon (Henry) of Arlington, Texas. Louise Bennett Raines and Margie Bennett of Idabel, Oklahoma. Extended family, Lutherine Mitchell and Jacqueline Mitchell of Hugo, Oklahoma.
Special Friend: Venolia Harmon of Hugo, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by special friend, May Gardner and one sister.
Also 30 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
