Charles "Scooter" Maytubbie

Charles Edward "Scooter" Maytubbie 56, of Boswell, Oklahoma passed away March 15, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for  2:00 pm Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Victory Life Church in Boswell, Oklahoma. Mrs. Lisa Maytubbie will serve as eulogist. Interment will be held in Mayhue Cemetery under the direction of Alberta Funeral Home.

Charles Edward “Scooter” Maytubbie, was born January 7, 1965 in Boswell, OK to Clarence (CC) and Betty Jean (James) Maytubbie. He attended and graduated from Boswell High School in 1983. While he was enrolled in high school he attended Upward Bound College. In the same year, he met the love of his life and his life partner Lisa Moody. In 1989, the two moved from Boswell to Altus, OK where they settled and started their family. They were united in marriage on December 12, 1990 in Altus, Oklahoma. To this union they had two children Charles Jr. and Shaniqua. Charles worked for Southwest Community Transit for 20 years until a work injury led him into early retirement. Charles enjoyed cutting grass, listening to music with his son, but most of all devoted his time and energy into his grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his father Clarence Maytubbie.

Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his loving, devoted wife of 30 years and caretaker, Lisa of the home, son Charles and wife Angelia Maytubbie of Altus, Oklahoma, daughter Shaniqua and husband Eddie Hollins of White Sands, NM. Mother, Betty Jean Maytubbie.  But most of all his most prized possessions his five grandchildren; Jayvion, Dezmond, and Carmen Maytubbie, Ka’Miah, and Ka’mari Hollins. Siblings; Gloria Goodlow and husband Gary of Altus, OK, Clarence Maytubbie and wife Sally of Altus, OK, Lamingus Maytubbie and wife Dawn of Sherman, TX, and Sherrie Maytubbie of Altus, OK. Special Friend Barry Collier of Arizona along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
