Ethel Boyce

Ethel Boyce, 77, of Idabel, Oklahoma passed away October 31, 2021 in Carrus Specialty Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 in the District Building, Hugo, Oklahoma. Elder Melvin Gray will serve as eulogist. Interment will be held in Old Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Alberta Funeral Home; assisted by Maxey Funeral Home.

Ethel Boyce was born June 8, 1944 in Bluff, Oklahoma to the late Isiah and Mable (Jeffries) Freeman.  She attended school at Lower Bluff Elementary School and Booker T. Washington High School in Hugo, Oklahoma.  She was a member of the Mt. Sinai COGIC.  After high school, she met and married the late Elder Tony Boyce and moved to Idabel, Oklahoma.  While residing there, she was an employee of Memorial Heights Nursing Facility for 44 years and Colonial Lodge for 3 years.  She was a very sweet, kind, loving person and a friend to all that knew her. She entered eternal rest on October 31, 2021.

Sisters:  Linda Graves and June Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Brother: Bobby Freeman of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James Freeman and Joe Freeman, sisters, Otherine Jones, Carlene Minter, and Dollie Watson.
