Everlene (Glover) Wallace

Everlene Wallace, 88, of Paris entered eternal rest May 13, 2021. Funeral services are set for 2:00 pm Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Bishop Mayes serving as eulogist and the Rev. Gary Savage, pastor. Interment will follow to Restlawn Garden Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.

Life and Legacy

EVERLENE WALLACE was born July 31, 1932, to the parentage of Abner Glover, Sr. and Elnora Beacham. She attended Gibbons High School, Paris Beauty College, and Midland Beauty School, operating the Eleventh Street, Beauty Shop for forty-plus years. 

She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a longtime member of New Salem Baptist Church under the leadership and founder, the late Rev. C. B. Wallace, until his death on February 20, 1997; then she was served under the leadership of Bishop Connice Mayes until her death. On May 5, 1952,she married Charles B. Wallace, and to this union, four children, were born, Reginald, Sherry, Andrea, and Charlotte. 

She leaves to cherish children, Reginald Wallace, Sherry Wallace, Andrea Ferguson and husband, Mike, and Charlotte Wallace; sisters, Evelyn Joyce Taylor, Molly Dibbles, and Betty Glover; brothers, Abner Glover, Jr. and J. W. Glover. They were also blessed with thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev. C. B. Wallace, parents, and brother, Cotis Lee Glover.
