A handsome baby boy was born to Weaver and Dorothy Edwards on September 16, 1973. He was the last of nine children. Unfortunately, Weaver passed before meeting his last son. Dorothy named him Jarrell Bryan Edwards. Jarrell was loved very much by his Mom and all of his brothers and sisters.
Jarrell attended Crockett Middle School and he graduated from Paris High School with the class of 1992. After graduating from high school, a few years later, he attended Texas Barber College in pursuit of his barber’s license. After acquiring his barber’s license, Jarrell began cutting hair for many people in the community, in addition to teaching and training others how to cut and groom. Jarrell also worked in construction at King’s Construction Company of Dallas, Texas for eight years and he became the owner of Club Showtime.
Jarrell was a devoted son, brother, and father. He enjoyed helping people in the community and for the city of Paris. He loved cutting hair, being there for his family and providing a place where people could hang out and have fun. He will be truly missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Before he passed, he made sure we all knew that he was definitely a child of God and he knew where he would spend eternity.
Jarrell is survived by his children; Kourtney Hicks, Semaujay Hubbard, Azael Zavala, Jykendric Jeffrey and JaRiyah Woods. He has two sisters: Audrey Ellis and Cynthia Mitchell-Green: three brothers: Marcus Edwards (Bobby), James Edwards, and Daniel Edwards. He has four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is predeceased by his brother, Willis Edwards, his sisters, Laura Mae Edwards, Lorraine Wade and Sherry Johnson, and his mother, Dorothy and father, Weaver.
