L. J. Moore

L. J. Moore, 77, of Paris passed away January 3, 2021. Maxey Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 9, 2021, at New Birth Baptist Church with Bishop S. F. Evans serving as eulogist. Interment will follow to Restlawn Garden Cemetery.

L. J. was born to the parentage of the late R.D. and Leatha Mae Moore. He was a  graduate of BJ Graves High School class of 1961. 

L. J. was a loving and devoted father. L. J. was an avid truck driver for many years. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.  L. J. was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Ruby Blackwell, Sandra King and Rebecca Sims. His brothers, Ernest Moore, Vernon Moore, Richard Moore, Eddie Paul Moore, David Moore and Roy Gene Moore and C.D. Moore Sr. 

He leaves to cherish precious memories:

Children:  Albert (Belinda) Robinson, Dewayne Smith, Carla (Lee, Sr) Byers,  Myrna (John) Irons, Kenneth Phillips, Brandi (Androne) Bills, Brandon Haskins, and Desmond Moore.  Also 22 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Sisters: Maye (Billy) Hill of Plainview, Texas, Emma (Kenneth) Freeman of Paris, Texas and Diane (Donnie) Johnson of Paris, Texas

Brothers: Lonnie Earl (Wanda) Moore of Paris, Texas and Jerry (Louella) Moore of Paris, Texas.

LJ also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a lot of special friends.
