Celebrating the Life of La Ruth Weekly

LaRuth Weekly was born to the parentage of Hyram and Julia Weekly.  LaRuth will be remembered by her outgoing, friendly personality.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Her positiveness radiated the room.  Family and friends knew her as a spiritual kindhearted woman that would touch everyone, just by a simple smile that made you feel loved. She left home in 1972 to pursue a business career then later to work for Naval Supply in Oakland, California.  After returning home in 1995 to care for her parents, she became a member of the Johnson Chapel CME Church where she served as a missionary.

She entered eternal rest on June 13, 2022.

Sisters:  Emma Weekly of Oakland, California.  Fannie Prater of Oakland, California.  Marie Howlett of Berkeley, California.  LaShoan Nunley and husband, Ronnie of Hercules, California.

Brothers:  Willie Weekly, Sr. and wife, Linda of Reno, Texas.  James Weekly of Oakland, California.  Richard Weekly of Oakland, California.

Also, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, oldest sister, Weda Weekly Soares and older brother, Hyram Weekly, Jr.
