Mary Louise Dennis

Mary Louise Dennis, 68, of Paris passed away, March 30, 2023. Funeral services are set for1:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2023, in Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Ray Evers serving as eulogist. The family will receive friends Friday, April 7th at the funeral home from 6 - 8 pm.

Mary Louise Dennis was born April 24, 1954, in Roxton, TX to the parentage of the late Sam and Christine (Council) Hearne. She attended West Lamar School in Petty, TX and later attended college in Commerce, TX where she received her degree in business.

She was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church in Brookston, TX until the late 1990's and then became affiliated with Pathway International

Church of God.

Mary worked at the Department of Human Services for 40 years while working simultaneously at Sears Roebuck for 10 years before retiring for 6 months. She then went back to work at the Department of Human Services for an additional 10 years before retiring again. She entered eternal rest on March 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Dennis, her brother, Charles Gary Hearne, her sister, Barbara Ann Hamilton, her nephew, Samuel Dewayne Hearne, and her niece, Evonne Pemberton.

Also, a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Loved ones who remain are her sisters, Peggy Hearne, Bertha Hearne, and Ora (Charles) Miles of Paris, TX, Mary Pemberton of Dallas, TX, and her Uncle George Hearne, JR of Midland, TX and a host of cousins.

Mary had no children but was like a mother to her nieces and nephews:

Lamonica Hearne, Charles Hearne, Christopher Houston, Tiffany Louise Hearne, Jessica Houston, and Stephanie Hearne.

Her great nieces and nephews were her heart: Tristan Pemberton, Joshua Brown, Keyshawn Hearne, Christopher Houston, JR, Tavi Hearne, Thomas, (TJ) Hood, Alijah Hood, Vincent Hearne, Dewayne Mitchell Deangelo Wharry, JR, Dametrius Hearne, Jayvin Jones, Kristian Hearne, and Adrian Hearne.
