Mona Harrison Obituary

Mona Rochelle Harrison, 55, of Paris entered eternal rest on February 22, 2022, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, March 5, 2022, in Paris Junior High School Auditorium with Dr. Jerard Mosley serving as eulogist. Interment will follow to Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.

Mona Rochelle Harrison will be remembered by her outgoing, friendly personality and innate love for family and friends. Mona was born August 26, 1966, in Paris, Texas. She was a 1985 graduate of Paris High School. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age.

Mona was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Her family and friends knew her as a kindhearted woman that would touch everyone just with a simple smile. She just made you feel loved and her saying was to "Always be good to people, even if they are not good to you (something our mom would say)."

Mona had a host of scriptures that she would often read, including Psalms 34: 8, “Taste to see that the Lord is good. Bless the man who takes refuge.”

Mona was employed by Travis High School of Choice, and she loved interacting with the staff and making funny jokes. She would often cook or bake a cake (carmel cakes) to show her appreciation to the people she loved. She made room for each person she came in contact within her life. She loved her family. Mona loved her husband deeply; they did everything together after 42 years of being together (even take showers together, lol)

She entered eternal rest on February 22, 2022.

Loved ones who remain include her loving husband, Timothy Harrison. The bible says, “Spare the rod and spoil the child.” This passage of scripture is so true because Mona loved her children, Jasmond Harrison (Yuka Harrison) of Bremerton, Washington, and Tierra Harrison of Paris, Texas; sisters, Shana Chatman of Dallas, Texas, Me-o-sha Isom of Dallas, Texas, Chassidy Styles of Dallas, Texas, and Monica Moore Boyd of Dallas, Texas (Bill Boyd); brother, Patrick Teague; grandchildren, Amonie, Brayden and Aden Henderson, Elyjaih Harrison, Yuni Harrison, and Aayden Holifield; and a host of siblings, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jeannie Styles, Leon Hudson, and brother, John Wayne Jr.
