Nathaniel Williams

The Rev. Nathaniel Williams, 82, of Paris went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2023. Maxey Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Olive Branch Baptist Church. The Rev. James Johnson will serve as eulogist and the Rev. Billy Shephard, officiant. Interment will follow to Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, November 3rd, from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in Maxey Funeral Chapel.

Nathaniel Ray Williams was born October 12, 1941, in Red River County to the parentage of the late D. Rogers “Poochie” Jones and Ruby Williams Hicks. He was a graduate of Detroit High School and was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church. He was the owner of Nathaniel’s Paint and Body Shop. He entered eternal rest on October 29, 2023.

Also, special friend, Jessie Palmer, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Hicks, grandson, Jermadric “Jay” Williams, and brother, J. B. Persley.
