Nicolen Brooks

Nicolen De'Angelo Brooks, 39, of Roxton, Texas entered eternal rest on July 1, 2023. Funeral services are set for 2 PM Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Kendall McAfee, eulogist and the Rev. Floyd Trotter, pastor. Interment will follow to Hendricks Cemetery.

Nicolen DeAngelo Brooks was born January 22,1984, to the parentage of Douglas Brooks and Mattie Giles Smith. He attended Paris High School and had a great love for reading, playing chess, and music. He entered eternal rest July 1, 2023. He will be greatly missed by all.

LOVED ONES WHO REMAIN: Daughter,  Nicuria Brooks.

PARENTS: Douglas Brooks, Sr. and Mattie Giles Smith.

BONUS MOTHER: Nannie (Rev. Leon) Hendricks.

LOVE OF HIS LIFE: Erica Morris and son, Eastin.

SISTERS: Sultry Jackson and husband, Artis; also, Shaniqua Milton.

BROTHER: Douglas Brooks, Jr., and wife, Serena.

NIECES AND NEPHEWS:
Tara Giles, Jaqualion Milton, Tatyana Gause, Torianna Hollowell, Zae Giles, Te’Onikka Hollowell, Raneshia Milton and Cartier Mosley.

GREAT NIECES AND NEPHEWS:
Damarea Curlee, Lillyn Embry, and Caiden Giles. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.
