Robert Wallace Obituary

Robert Wallace 67, of Paris entered eternal rest on April 17, 2024, at Stillhouse Rehab and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services are set for 11:00 am Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Graham Street Church of Christ. Bro. Clifton Boyd will serve as eulogist.

Robert Glen Wallace was born November 16th, 1956. One of eleven siblings to the parentage of Vernon and Lettie B. Wallace. Robert attended Lamar County schools including the final year of Gibbons School and He was a graduate of Paris High School. Sometimes during His youth, Robert was given the alias name "Blimp" which stuck with him for life.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age and was part of a family with a deep Christian heritage, which includes well known Clergy all over the country to this very day. He was currently a member of the Graham Street Church of Christ. 

Blimp was an avid sports fanatic, and most of all his love for boxing and football was huge. One team that he truly despised was the "Dallas Cowboys" for many many years. Blimp's favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army.

In 1987 Robert met Roseann Blake, and on March 25th of the following year she became his bride. This loving and devoted relationship lasted for 36 great years. Blimp was a very loving and caring brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He left many of us with countless stories and memories that will live in our hearts forever! Blimp's presence here on earth will truly be missed, but don't worry because he will have us laughing again one day in Heaven!

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Genola Fisher.

He Leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Roseann; Son, Johnny Blake (Nakia)) (2) Grandsons; Zakivion and Kingston Blake (1) Great-grand daughter, ZaNovia Skal. (6) Brothers; Vernon Wallace, Jr., (Shirley) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles Wallace, Sr. (Nita) of Paris, Texas, Charlie Ray Wallace of Pans, Texas, Buster Hearne (Cheryl) of Pflugerville, Texas and Billy Wayne Wallace of Paris Texas; (5) Sisters, Dorothy Hailey of Paris, Texas; Betty Walker (Reginald) of Oklahoma City, OK., Rita Wallace of Paris, Texas, Carolyn Rutledge (Will) Brooks of Oklahoma City, OK and Paula Wortham (Mike) of Paris Texas and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives.
