Shonta Johnson

Shonta Schimicko Johnson was born September 11,1980, to Theresa A. Hendricks and Harry Raymond Perry. She passed away September 13, 2021, in Pocono, Pennsylvania two days after her 40th birthday (or) should I say in New Castle, Pennsylvania.

She was the loving mother of three beautiful sons. Morreaz Niccolo Nixion, Dashon Drayton, and Darreaz Lester Drayton.  She attended New Castle High School, after high school. She worked in the Healthcare profession, which she loved until her passing.

Shonta, will be remembered as having a beautiful soul of love for her family, friends and also strangers who needed a kind word of encouragement or just a helping hand and giving of herself  was not a daunting task. She learned the value of love and  the value of  love for others from her beloved grandmother Dorothy Mae and if you ever meet my child Shonta with her captivated smile your heart you would say the same. 

My child was loved by so many and saying good-by to Shonta my love, my child instead of saying "see you later hun" resonates an aching of disbelief that she was taken from us so early in her life but it brings me joy and happiness to  know in my heart and her families heart that she is with my Mother and God. 

I have tears of joyful peace that she knows that we will meet once again; my beloved child and mother and sister. 

Shonta would want me to remember her words; after calling me mommy "if I passed before you, I need you to celebrate me in death as you have in life mommy" Therefore I am honored to be your mother and honored to celebrate your life with deepest affection and love. Mommy.
