Trennell Keith Harvey Ricks

Trennell Keith Harvey Ricks, 31, of Paris passed away December 19, 2021. Funeral services are set for 1:00 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Oak Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. James Alexander serving as eulogist and pastor. Interment will follow to Palestine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 29th from 6 to 7 pm in Maxey Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Trennell Keith Harvey Ricks was born January 6, 1990, in Lamar County to Byron Ricks and the late Milecia Madawn Harvey. Trennell gave his life to the Lord at an early age and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church. He grew up in Novice, Texas, and attended elementary school at Aaron Parker Elementary. He graduated from North Lamar High School in 2008. Trennell obtained a diesel mechanic degree from Kiamichi Vocational Technology in Hugo, Oklahoma. After graduating, Trennell worked as an auto mechanic and later went on to become a professional over-the-road truck driver. Trennell was determined to start his own business, and because of his tenacity, he started his own hotshot business. Trennell enjoyed truck driving, traveling, and hunting/fishing with his father Byron and grandpa Frankie Ricks.

Trennell spent a lot of time with his grandmother Vonell, whom he adored. He always found time to visit his grandfather Attrell Harvey and his great- grandmother Ms. Sadie White when he was home off the road. Trennell loved his family; he was a kindhearted gentleman who had countless friends and never met a stranger. Trennell is preceded in death by mother, Milecia Harvey; grandmother, Edith Harvey; grandfather, Frankie Ricks; and great-aunt, Felecia White.
